I keep on falling down
Can’t seem to keep on standing
I feel so trapped down here
Buried beneath tons of rubble
Don’t see a way out
From my own mental handicaps
So used to thinking
That it’s all impossible
Especially what I want the most
I don’t know what to do to escape this trap
I don’t know who to be
I’m asking “Who is me?”
This stranger that perhaps I never knew
This stranger that perhaps no one ever has
Happiness
It really does surround you
Happiness
It’s really all around you
Happiness
It’s here for you and me to see
Happiness is the ultimate way to be
Huddled in the masses
I am hopeless still
Seeking out my life
For a greater thrill
Wanting to progress
Along with the red pill
Wondering who I’m becoming
Through it all
Happiness
It really does surround you
Happiness
It’s really all around you
Happiness
It’s here for you and me to see
Happiness is the ultimate way to be
Is the air thinner up here
‘Cause I’m so tall
Or am I just primed
To take a harder fall
Gotta be a part of the world class
Sure doesn’t seem to be
Something that happens fast
And yet it’s the only place
Where so many dreams come to pass
Better than being stuck
And always being last
Looking for that rocket fuel
To blast me away
Into that life filled up
With exciting days
Happiness
It really does surround you
Happiness
It’s really all around you
Happiness
It’s here for you and me to see
Happiness is the ultimate way to be
Just trying to get through the night
Make it to dawn’s first light
Pass through the veil of tears
And get to the shouts of cheers
What can I create
It’s got to be
It’s up to me
And my ever-expanding global network
Of like-minded, generous, wonderful people
Together we accomplish
What I once thought to be impossible
Happiness is the ultimate way to be
