Value lyrics / poem by James Barnett

I look at my life
I see what I could be, do, and have
And it’s so much greater
Than where I’m at right now
I know my why
And I wonder if that’s enough
To transform myself and my experience
I’m alive for a reason
Maybe more than one
I’m looking for a bridge
That connects me from here to there
My heart cries out
Is there something missing

Value
What value can I give
To make your life richer
The answer may escape me for now
It may show up when I least expect it
Best to let the energy flow
And allow the ideas to arrive
At exactly the right time
The quality of life is determined
By the questions asked
Value
What value can I give
To make your life richer

Humans are social creatures
I could be a connector
A source of introductions and referrals
Relationships are all we have in life
The quality of our relationships
Determines the quality of our lives
I am the average of the five people
I spend the most time with
So they’d better be high quality people
And I’d better be high quality, too

Value
What value can I give
To make your life richer
The answer may escape me for now
It may show up when I least expect it
Best to let the energy flow
And allow the ideas to arrive
At exactly the right time
The quality of life is determined
By the questions asked
Value
What value can I give
To make your life richer

Value
What value can I give
To make your life richer
The answer may escape me for now
It may show up when I least expect it
Best to let the energy flow
And allow the ideas to arrive
At exactly the right time
The quality of life is determined
By the questions asked
Value
What value can I give
To make your life richer
